The sleep of the slouthful

“Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger” (Proverbs 19: 15).

Sleep can be very refreshing after the day's work. Everybody needs an ample time of sleep to keep the mind and the body invigorating from time to time. Scientists recommend about six to seven hours of sleep for young adults. You have the rest hours of the day to work even though little exercise and brief time of siesta would still do you a lot of good. Depriving yourself of normal sleeping period could be detrimental to your health and disadvantageous to your studies.

The slothful sleeps too much than it's required. He is most often in the state of utter indifference. He is careless about the use of his time and mindless of his own study affairs. Too much sleeping makes the slothful to be senseless, dreaming much but doing nothing to make him realize his dreams. It is not difficult to identify the slothful. He dozes while teaching-learning activities are going on in the class or most times he is set out to read. It is difficult for the slothful to wake up in the night to study. He is always early to bed and late to rise. The slothful cherishes life of pleasure and does not like to attempt any task-involving academic exercise. He lives a useless life, underuses his talents and is given to idleness. Slothfulness impoverishes young people and brings students into want of academic attainment.

Challenge: The slothful and the sluggard are twin brothers to failure, don't befriend them.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to be disciplined as to sleep moderately and labour for success.

perhaps you would like to help us reach all souls for christ

Any amount is appreciated in fulfilling the great commission
